Summary

We're looking for a Maintenance Manager to join our Area 13 team based in Penrith.



Location: Penrith, Cumbria - travel to the office required with some remote working availableHours: Permanent Fulltime 39 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

What will you be responsible for?As a Maintenance Manager at Kier, you'll play a crucial role in coordinating maintenance services across the Area 13 network covering Cumbria and North Lancashire.

Your day to day will include:

-Planning and supervising maintenance operations, coordinating both in-house teams and supply chain partners

-Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external clients through effective communication

-Managing resources efficiently, including materials, labour, vehicles and equipment

-Ensuring all maintenance works meet Sector Scheme 18 standards and safety requirements

-Creating an inclusive workplace where team wellbeing and diverse perspectives are valued



What are we looking for?This role of Maintenance Manager is ideal if you:

-Bring proven experience delivering maintenance and soft estate works in line with Sector Scheme 18 standards

-Have a strong background working on maintenance projects across motorways and high‑speed road networks

-Demonstrate excellent communication skills with the ability to lead, motivate and develop teams

-Hold a full driving licence
