- Qualification: Level 3 Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship - 18months
- Location: Ascot Racecourse, Ascot High Street, Ascot, Berkshire, SL5 7JX
- £27,000 per annum plus 10% bonus
- 40 hrs / Mon-Fri with occasional requirements to support Race days
- 9am - 5.30pm

Job Introduction
Join Sodexo Live! at Ascot Racecourse as a Finance Apprentice and kick-start your career in a fast-paced, high-profile events environment. You’ll support the finance team with reporting, forecasting, reconciliations and invoice processing, working closely with the Commercial Finance Manager and wider finance managers across the business.
This role offers hands-on experience, training in Excel, finance systems, EPOS and financial reporting, and the opportunity to work towards a recognised qualification with mentoring from experienced finance leaders. Someone who is keen to learn, engage with the team, and ready to take initiative will be successful in the role.
What You'll Do:
- Ensure accurate entry of all invoices on a timely basis and ensure accurate month end accruals
- Support operational account leads with forecasting and financial analysis
- Assist with reconciliation of supplier statements, purchase orders and dummies for month end reporting
- Support the process of managing invoices
- Conducting and conclude any audit activity and delivery of action plans
- Support with Race day financial reporting and cash management
- Assist with ad-hoc commercial projects to help support the drive for better cost management and contract efficiency
- Production and communication of relevant statistics
- Assist with Stock takes in Cellar

What You Bring:
Essential
- Numerical accuracy and understanding
- Attention to detail
- Comfortable with Excel and Data input
- Eagerness to learn and take initiative
- 5 GCSE’s including Maths and English (grade 4/C and above)
- Willingness to complete the Level 3Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship
- Right to Work: Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK.
- Residency: Must have lived in the UK for at least 3 years before starting the apprenticeship.
- No Overlapping Qualifications: Applicants can’t already hold a qualification at the same level or higher than the one they’re applying for.
Desirable
- Prior work experience in Hospitality industry
