Summary

Hospitality Assistants work across the Conference, Banqueting & Events program with a significant focus on Hospitality and Operations. Hospitality Assistants support the Hospitality Managers in the delivery of all UVB events. They are responsible for the manual set up and preparations of all event spaces. They are also responsible for servicing and hospitality requirements of a wide variety of clients, including food service, ushering, hospitality, bar work, and break downs.

This role is ideal for someone with conference venue experience, a positive, team‑focused attitude, and the ability to stay calm and effective under pressure. You’ll bring strong communication and interpersonal skills, a keen eye for detail, high standards of presentation and time‑keeping, and a genuine commitment to excellent customer service. Flexibility is key, as the role involves evenings, weekends, and occasional unsociable hours, along with a willingness to learn new skills and support colleagues.

Contract Type: Permanent, annualised
Hours: 2,080 hours per year (avg. 40 hours per week) Evening and weekend work will be required.
Salary: £26,208 per annum (Assistant 3)
