We are seeking a reliable and professional security operative to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and security of a busy
commercial premises in a retail setting.
About the Role:
Queens Arcade is a Grade II listed shopping centre, home to a vibrant mix of independent and national retailers to include a
service yard, waste management facilities, and a separate standalone building at 24-26 Lands Lane. We are seeking a reliable and
professional weekend Building Supervisor to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and overall operational excellence of the arcade.
This role is far broader than traditional security, encompassing facilities management, tenant liaison, and customer service in a

Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness across the site, including front-of-house, back-of-house, and service yard areas.
* Litter picking and general upkeep to ensure a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors.
* Manage waste operations, including the use of compactors and balers.
* Monitor CCTV systems and conduct regular site patrols to safeguard the premises and public safety.
* Perform mandatory safety and compliance checks, including fire alarms, sprinklers, generators, and legionella testing (when
needed)
* Locking and unlocking of buildings and areas as required.
* Complete accurate daily logs, compliance records, and incident reports.
* Provide excellent customer service, liaising with tenants, clients, tradespeople, service providers, and the public in person,
via phone, or email.
* Visit retail, leisure, and tenanted units to discuss operational or security matters with tenants.
* Identify and report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to management.
Requirements:
· Valid SIA licence (essential)
* First aid trained
* Relevant experience in a retail/leisure/F&B or office workspace environment
· CCTV monitoring experience advantageous although this could be provided to the right candidate.
· Able to work independently and on your own initiative.
· Punctual, dependable and well presented
· Flexible to provide weekday cover when required
Previous experience in facilities, security, or estate services is preferred.
Able to cover annual leave Monday - Friday
