This role sits within Mail, Print and Records Management, supporting the smooth running of day‑to‑day operations.

The Role
As an Administrative Assistant, you will provide high‑quality administrative support within the Mail, Print and Records Management function. You will assist with document handling, data processing, record maintenance and general office duties to ensure the service operates efficiently and in line with organisational standards.

Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative support across mail, print and records management activities.

Process incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring accuracy and timely distribution.

Maintain electronic and physical records in accordance with council procedures.

Support document handling, scanning, filing and retrieval tasks.

Assist with data entry, updating systems and maintaining accurate information.

Respond to internal enquiries professionally and efficiently.

Support colleagues and contribute to smooth daily operations.

Candidate Requirements
Essential
Strong administrative and organisational skills.

Ability to manage routine tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.

Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Competent IT skills, including use of office software and electronic records systems.

Desirable
Experience within a local authority or public‑sector administrative environment.

Familiarity with records management processes.
