Summary

Contract Type: Permanent, annualised contract based on 40 weeks per annum

Working Hours: We are looking to fill various part-time hours including weekends and early/evening shifts, ideally worked on the following work patterns.

Position 1 – 12 hours a week worked as Monday 1hr, Tuesday 1hr, Wednesday 1hr, Thursday 1hr, Friday 2hrs, Saturday 4hrs, Sunday 2hrs

Position 2 – 7 hours a week worked as Monday 1hr, Tuesday 1hr, Thursday 1hr, Friday 2hrs, Sunday 2hrs

Position 3 - 4.5 hours a week worked as Monday 1hr, Thursday 2.5hrs, Friday 1hr

Position 4 – 2 hours a week worked as Monday 1hr, Thursday 1hr

The Council are seeking Swim England Level 2 swimming instructors who are professional, punctual and well-organised in their implementation and organisation of swimming classes under the Swim England Learn to Swim and School Swimming Programmes.

Duties of the role

We are seeking highly committed, enthusiastic and motivated instructors to deliver our swimming lessons and take 1-2-1 private lessons as well as cover fellow instructors when required.

This post requires high levels of commitment to customer care and professional knowledge to ensure our members receive exceptional standards of service. We are looking for instructors who want to develop their skills, have a strong water-based background and appropriate qualifications to cover a variety of swimming classes.

The successful candidate will be an engaging individual with a flexible and professional approach to their work to ensure that the highest standards of service and delivery are maintained.

Qualifications and skills required

To be successful in this role, you must hold the appropriate Level 2 Swim England qualification and ideally have a background of working in the industry. You must be available to work at weekends and/or evenings.
