We are advertising for a Teacher-Practitioner to work with the UEA School of Chemistry, Pharmacy and Pharmacology. This post is offered to existing NNUH Clinical Pharmacists as a 2 day (15 hours) fixed commitment to the UEA.The successful applicant will need to be able to continue in their current clinical role for at least 2 full days a week to maintain their status as a practising clinical Pharmacist.As this is a secondment, approval from your line manager should be sought before completing your application to confirm arrangements for the continued coverage of your existing role while seconded.
The post holder will plan, design, develop and deliver innovative and appropriate teaching, learning and assessment that create interest and enthusiasm for students in subjects allied to clinical pharmacy. This will include the delivery of high-quality teaching in a variety of settings including work-based supervision, simulations, small group teaching, lectures and workshops both online and face to face.
At the NNUH, the post holder will already be providing high quality clinical pharmacy services as a member of the clinical pharmacy team meeting the needs of patients and healthcare professionals within the Trust.

The successful applicant will act as a role model for the practice of pharmacy and consistently demonstrate UEA’s values of Collaboration, Empowerment, Respect and Ambition. The post holder would be expected to work on their own initiative within guidelines and directions from the head of pharmacy practice at UEA.
In their role at the NNUH as a practitioner, the post holder will provide an advanced level of clinical pharmacy duties to a specific clinical speciality and act as the lead within the designated area. The post holder will maintain, develop and expand clinical pharmacy services to the designated area within the Trust. The post holder would be expected to work on their own initiative within guidelines and directions from the appropriate Pharmacy Team Leader, and to supervise pharmacists, trainee pharmacists, pharmacy students, pharmacy technicians and liaise with technical and assistant staff.
