Our client, a reputable and well-established commercial vehicle rental company, is seeking a skilled HGV Technician to become a vital part of their Manchester service team. This is a professional opportunity for an experienced HGV Technician committed to high standards of safety and quality.

Duties:
- Conduct routine servicing and inspections on a variety of HGVs, ensuring compliance with manufacturer standards
- Perform vehicle testing in a safe, efficient, and professional manner
- Diagnose faults accurately and prepare comprehensive repair reports
- Carry out repairs on a diverse range of HGVs, including cranes, hydraulics, tippers, or beaver tails (advantageous)
- Maintain high safety and quality standards throughout all work undertaken
Requirements:
- NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 qualification in HGV Mechanics or equivalent, or alternatively, a minimum of 3+ years’ hands-on experience as an HGV Technician
- Demonstrable diagnostic and repair expertise
- Experience working with specialised equipment such as cranes or hydraulics (preferred)
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards
- A full UK driving licence is essential
Working Hours:
This role involves alternating shifts—Week 1: 07:00–15:30; Week 2: 12:30–21:00—with one in three Saturdays paid at overtime rates.
