Summary
Traffic / Transport Planning Associate / Lead Wakefield
I’m currently supporting a well-established, design-led Transport & Infrastructure consultancy in Manchester that is looking to appoint a senior Traffic / Transport Planning professional as part of planned growth.
This is a genuine expansion hire, offering the opportunity to step into a visible, client-facing leadership role within a growing regional team.
The Role You will take a lead role in delivering and overseeing:
- Transport Assessments & Transport Statements
- Traffic engineering schemes and highway design
- S278 / S38 schemes
- Junction design and development-led infrastructure projects
- Technical review and quality assurance
- Client liaison and stakeholder engagement
- Mentoring junior engineers / planners
You will play a key part in shaping project delivery standards and contributing to the continued growth of the Manchester team.
About You We’re keen to speak with professionals who have:
- 8–15+ years’ experience in Traffic Engineering / Transport Planning
- Strong local authority and private development experience
- Experience leading projects and mentoring others
- Exposure to NEC contracts or framework environments (desirable)
- Chartered status (or working towards) preferred
