Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

Gainsborough Primary and Nursery Academy are looking to recruit an experienced, outstanding, inspirational and self-motivated Class teacher to start on 27th April 2026.

This is a temporary maternity leave cover role and will end on the return of the post holder.

The successful candidate must: -

• have a track record of excellence in their classroom practice;
• have ambition, drive and a passion for learning;
• promote and lead high expectations of learning, achievement and behaviour through positive classroom management;
• demonstrate a commitment to raising standards;
• be highly motivated and committed to working as part of a team;
• demonstrate an excellent understanding of the National Curriculum;
• demonstrate a strong commitment to parental and community involvement;
• demonstrate evidence of relevant CPD;
• have a good sense of humour and a hardworking ethos.
