Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
We are now looking to recruit a well-qualified School Business Manager to support the vision for HPRS and to work as part of the leadership team to move the service forward in the next phase of its development.
We are looking for an experienced SBM with excellent financial management skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines. A business/accounting qualification is desirable along with proven experience gained within a school environment. We are seeking a dynamic, organised multi-tasker with effective communication skills, who is able to work alongside all stakeholders, including governors and senior management.
Working across all sites, the core purpose of this role includes managing and developing our financial systems and records, supporting HR systems, Health & Safety and managing office functions. You will have overall line management responsibility for admin and school premises staff and will manage the school sites.
You must:
• Have experience of operating in a school environment;
• Have excellent financial, organisational and communication skills and a track record of delivering value for money;
• Hold a Diploma/Certificate in School Business Management or equivalent professional qualification or be willing to work to achieve this alongside performing your role;
• Be highly motivated and committed to team work.

Herefordshire Pupil Referral Service (HPRS) provides education to pupils unable to attend mainstream school for various reasons. The service is currently split over three sites located within Hereford – St David’s Centre (KS4), The Aconbury Centre (KS3) and H3 (Hospital, Home, Hub Teaching Team).
HPRS provides a safe, secure and welcoming learning environment in which young people can grow as responsible, independent and self-confident learners. We are on an exciting journey of school improvement and have made rapid and significant improvements of which we are all very proud.
