At Ingeus, we believe that real change happens when people with lived experience support others on their journey of rehabilitation. Thats why peer mentoring is a cornerstone of our work across the Justice Contract. We're now looking for a Peer Mentor Lead to help shape and grow this life-changing programme.

About the Role:

As Peer Mentor Lead, you'll be at the forefront of recruiting, training, and supporting individuals with lived experience of the criminal justice system to become Peer Mentors. You'll empower them to support others who are on a similar path - building trust, offering guidance, and helping to reduce reoffending through real, human connection.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Recruiting and training new Peer Mentors
  • Managing, supervising, and supporting a growing team of Peer Mentors
  • Delivering the Transition and Hope workshop in group settings
  • Collaborating with Peer Mentors to co-create new interventions and session content
  • Attending and contributing to development meetings to grow peer-led involvement across services

What We are Looking For:

  • Communication Skills: Youll have the ability to engage, motivate, persuade, and listen-building strong connections with the Peer Mentors
  • Safeguarding awareness: You are supporting individuals at a transformative time in their lives and will need to be able to identify any safeguarding risks.
  • Case management experience, with the ability to juggle multiple individuals and tailor support to each.
  • Passion for empowering people with lived experience to grow and succeed
  • Travel: Due to the locations covered, we need someone with the ability to travel

Whilst we welcome applications from those with lived experience, this role requires an enhanced DBS check and HMPPS EL1 vetting. As we wait for the necessary background checks to be completed, youll have plenty of opportunities to shadow your colleagues, ask questions, and learn the ropes.

Our Justice division is dedicated to transforming lives and creating safer communities. Our mission is to reduce reoffending, build stronger communities, and help people realise their potential.

At Ingeus, weve spent time listening to our employees to build our benefits package;

  • 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, with the option to trade for additional leave.
  • EAP Support programme available 24/7, including 6 free counselling sessions.

  • Up to 2 days of Community Giving (volunteering) each year to support a cause that matters to you.
  • Eyecare vouchers to help with glasses or eye care.
  • Online Shopping discounts
  • Cycle to Work scheme and travel season ticket loan.
  • Long service awards to celebrate your commitment.
  • Salary Finance offering financial education and advice.
  • The opportunity to purchase extra benefits like critical illness cover and dental insurance.

We understand that everyones journey is different, and were committed to making our recruitment process as inclusive and accessible as possible. If you require any support or adjustments-whether thats help with the application, interview format, or anything else-were here to listen and work with you to find the best approach.

Our goal is to ensure you can showcase your skills and potential in a way that works for you. Please dont hesitate to contact us at to discuss how we can support you
