This is a great opportunity to join a global company, which design and manufacture niche products from its site in Bristol, for customers across the globe. You will be joining the Purchasing department and enjoy a varied role, managing supplier relationships and import processes, amongst other things.
The role:
- Manage the relationships with suppliers and sub contractors.
- Develop and maintain purchasing procedures.
- Processing purchase orders.
- Negotiating with suppliers to achieve favourable pricing.
- Track deliveries and stock levels.
- Manage the import of overseas products.
- Contributing to CI initiatives, for example risk assessments, supplier approvals and contract implementation.
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience within a Purchasing dept - ideally in manufacturing.
- CIPS qualified - desirable.
- Skilled with MRP systems, for example Epicor.
- Excellent negotiating skills.
- Familiarity with stock control principles.
