The Opportunity
We have an excellent opportunity for a Technician to join our Engineering department.
This hands on role is essential in helping us deliver high quality practical training for students.
As a Technician, you’ll help to maintain safe, well organised workshops and ensure that tools, equipment and materials are ready for practical sessions. You’ll work closely with our Teaching staff to support workshop delivery, and create a positive, safe learning environment where students can achieve their best.
This role would suit someone with experience in engineering, automotive, electrical or similar industries, who enjoys working in a practical environment and supporting others to develop their skills.
About You
You will be confident working with tools, equipment and workshop machinery, and able to help maintain a clean, safe and efficient workspace. You’ll be well organised, reliable, and comfortable managing multiple tasks such as equipment checks, maintaining stores, preparing materials and supporting practical teaching.
You’ll be a good communicator who can interact professionally with students and staff and you’ll bring a flexible, team focused approach to your work.

Required
• Relevant Level 2 qualification in an automotive, electrical or engineering discipline
• GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent Level 2 qualification, or willing to work towards)
• Relevant industry experience working within the automotive, electrical or engineering sector
