Summary
Support the delivery of seasonal menus, balanced and nutritional Keep up to date with food innovations on the High Street and introduce appropriate ideas accordingly Be open to a Culture of Learning Maximise sales through innovations To ensure compliance with all aspects of Health and Safety legislation and the correct use of personal protective equipment To report all maintenance issues and hazards to the Head Chef/Manager To comply with departmental & Trust personal hygiene policy/procedures at all times To wear the correct uniform as provided by the Trust To use mechanical equipment and electrical equipment in the performance of your duties, with due regard to the correct method of use and Health and Safety To ensure the appropriate equipment, facilities and the environment is maintained in good order To assist with stock control; check if all the items are in date and stock rotated and kept within agreed budget To ensure refrigerators are monitored/ temperatures recorded and defrosted as and when required To ensure food is monitored / recorded food for every meal service, undertaken in accordance with the food safety requirements Flexibility to adapt to changing service needs as required To check machinery and equipment regularly and report any faults as required To provide support and full co-operation to colleagues within the department To demonstrate due diligence whilst on duty and report any concerns to your manager or supervisor To ensure safe working practice at all times and to support the implementation of best practice policies To carry out any reasonable requests from your line Managers
