Generic Responsibilities (Clinical Trainer/Curriculum Writer): Clinical Education Delivery Facilitate engaging in person training sessions on core and advanced clinical topics relevant to primary care or wider health & care settings. Deliver virtual or blended learning experiences using digital platforms, interactive tools, and evidence based teaching strategies. Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners, including multidisciplinary teams. Demonstrate and model clinical best practices aligned with current guidelines, safety standards, and regulatory expectations. Assess learner understanding through formative and summative evaluation techniques. Provide constructive feedback to support learner development and clinical competence. Curriculum Development & Maintenance Design and develop curriculum for clinical education programmes aligned with primary care and health & care priorities. Update existing curriculum content to reflect new evidence, guidelines, and emerging clinical practices. Support the creation of learning materials (alongside the lead) such as presentations, facilitator guides, case studies, assessments, and digital learning assets. Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy, relevance, and clinical rigour. Embed adult learning principles and inclusive teaching practices into all curriculum materials. Ensure alignment with national standards, competency frameworks, and organisational objectives. Quality, Evaluation & Continuous Improvement Support the monitoring of the effectiveness of training programmes through learner feedback, performance data, and outcome measures. Implement improvements based on evaluation findings, stakeholder input, and evolving clinical needs. Maintain accurate documentation of curriculum updates, delivery schedules, and quality assurance processes. Support accreditation or compliance activities where required. Collaboration & Professional Practice Work closely with clinical leaders, educators, and operational teams to identify training needs. Contribute to strategic education planning within primary care and health & care environments. Stay current with clinical developments, research, and policy changes impacting practice. Represent your team in meetings, working groups, and professional networks (as and when required). Generic Responsibilities (Non-Clinical Trainer/Curriculum Writer): Training Delivery Facilitate engaging in person training sessions on nonclinical topics such as leadership, management, communication, customer service, and operational effectiveness amongst others. Deliver virtual and blended learning programmes using digital platforms, interactive tools, and learner centred techniques. Adapt delivery style to suit diverse roles across primary care and health & care, including administrative, managerial, and multidisciplinary teams. Use real world scenarios and case studies to support practical application of concepts. Assess learner progress through quizzes, reflective activities, and skills based evaluations. Provide constructive feedback to support professional growth and workplace performance. Curriculum Design & Development Design and develop high quality curriculum for nonclinical training programmes aligned with organisational priorities. Update and maintain existing learning materials to reflect new policies, best practices, and service expectations. Support the creation of engaging learning resources (alongside the lead) such as facilitator guides, participant workbooks, elearning modules, and assessments. Collaborate with subject matter experts in areas such as HR, leadership, quality improvement, and patient experience (as an example). Embed adult learning principles and inclusive teaching practices into all content. Ensure alignment with national frameworks, leadership competency frameworks, and service standards. Quality, Evaluation & Continuous Improvement Support the monitoring of training effectiveness using learner feedback, performance metrics, and organisational outcomes. Implement improvements to content and delivery based on evaluation findings and stakeholder input. Maintain accurate documentation of curriculum updates, delivery logs, and quality assurance processes. Support accreditation or compliance requirements where relevant. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement Work with managers and leaders to identify workforce development needs across primary care and health & care settings. Contribute to organisational learning strategies and workforce development plans. Participate in working groups and networks to share best practice and support service improvement. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure training relevance and impact. Represent your team in meetings, working groups, and professional networks (as and when required). Professional Practice Stay current with sector developments in areas such as leadership, management, customer service, and health & care policy amongst others. Model professional behaviours that reflect organisational values and service expectations. Champion a positive learning culture across teams and services.
