Summary

Non-Working Construction Site Manager

We’re looking for an experienced Non-Working Construction Site Manager to join a successful multi-disciplined construction company based in Folkestone, to oversee commercial construction projects across Kent and London. This is a hands-on leadership role managing site operations, subcontractors, health and safety compliance, and quality assurance within a growing construction environment.

PLEASE NOTE: Candidates must have a Full Driving Licence


SALARY: £160 to £250 per Day

LOCATION: Working on local projects in Folkestone, Kent and managing project in London (Candidates must live in Kent)

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Construction Site Manager to join a successful multi-disciplined construction organisation delivering commercial construction projects.

Working across sites in Kent before progressing to London-based developments, the Construction Site Manager will take full responsibility for site management, workforce supervision, subcontractor coordination, quality assurance and health and safety compliance.

As a Construction Site Manager you will ensure projects are delivered in line with drawings, specifications and scope of works, maintaining high standards of construction management and risk control throughout.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Construction Site Manager include:

• Project Supervision: Overseeing day-to-day site operations to ensure works progress safely and efficiently

• Health and Safety Management: Maintaining high health and safety standards and ensuring all documentation is up to date

• Quality Assurance: Implementing and maintaining quality control procedures across all stages of the build

• Workforce Coordination: Managing directly employed labour and subcontractors on commercial construction projects

• Drawing and Specification Review: Regularly reviewing drawings and scope of works to ensure accurate delivery

• Material and Tool Selection: Selecting appropriate tools, materials and resources to meet project requirements

• Risk Assessment: Assessing and minimising risk across all site activities

• Problem Resolution: Identifying potential issues early and implementing effective solutions


CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Valid SMSTS qualification

• Full UK driving licence

• Previous experience in site management within commercial construction

• Experience managing subcontractors and directly employed workforce

• Proven experience of maintaining health and safety compliance on construction sites

• Experience with quality control procedures and site documentation

• Ability to review technical drawings and specifications accurately

• A trade background with experience on the tools would be advantageous
