- Deliver engaging, age‑appropriate lessons across the KS1 curriculum using provided plans
- Maintain a supportive, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
- Manage behaviour effectively in accordance with school policies
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet a wide range of learning needs
- Assess and record pupil progress when required
- Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to wider school life during longer‑term placements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and early primary development
- Confident behaviour and classroom management abilities
- Adaptable across year groups and varied school environments
- Positive, organised, and committed to delivering high‑quality teaching
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils
