Experienced SEN Teaching Assistants Needed – Full-Time – Leicester & Surrounding Areas
Primary to Post-16 | Autism Support | EHCP-Focused | Daily, Short & Long-Term Roles
Are you a qualified and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with a passion for making a real difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs?
Link3 Recruitment are recruiting dedicated and resilient SEN TAs to join our trusted supply pool for part-time and full-time (5 days per week) roles in Leicester and surrounding areas. These roles are available for daily, short-term, and long-term placements, with immediate and upcoming opportunities in specialist provisions and inclusive mainstream schools.
About the Role:
You will be supporting children and young people with a range of complex needs, primarily on the Autism Spectrum, many of whom have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). These roles range from Primary age through to Post-16 settings, so a flexible, patient, and confident approach is essential.
You’ll work closely with teaching staff and wider support teams to:
• Provide 1:1 and small group support
• Help implement EHCP targets
• Manage challenging behaviours in a calm, positive manner
• Support learning, communication, and social development
• Foster independence and inclusion
What You Must Have:
• Minimum GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths & English
• Proven experience supporting children with Autism and other SEN
• Strong communication, empathy, and behaviour management skills
• A genuine passion for working with SEN students
• All applicants must hold a valid Right to Work in the UK, which will be verified as part of our safeguarding and compliance process.
• DBS: All applicants must undergo an Enhanced DBS Check (Child Workforce) prior to starting work, unless already registered on the Update Service. The cost of a new DBS will be covered by the applicant.
Why Work With Us?
• Opportunities across Special Schools, SEN Units, and Mainstream schools
• Daily, short-term, and long-term roles to suit your preferences
• Competitive rates of pay
• Full support from a dedicated SEN consultant
• Work with an REC-accredited agency that values your experience
• Make a lasting impact in the lives of learners who need it most
This is more than just a job — it’s a chance to become part of a passionate, professional team supporting learners who need skilled, compassionate individuals to help them reach their full potential.
