We are working with a well-established engineering company to recruit a Quality Lead Inspector. This role has become available due to retirement and offers the chance to take full ownership of quality processes across the business.
The Role
You will be responsible for:
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings to ensure product compliance
Leading audits and maintaining ISO standards across the company
Managing and resolving quality issues while implementing preventive measures
Ensuring quality within a forging environment (essential experience)
Working closely with production teams to maintain high-quality standards
Using IT systems effectively to record, monitor, and report quality data
This role requires someone with a strong character who can influence teams, drive improvements, and maintain high standards. You’ll be hands-on where needed but also confident in IT and reporting responsibilities.
About You
Experience working in the Forging environment is essential
Proven experience in quality inspection and auditing
Essential experience within a forging environment
Strong knowledge of ISO standards and experience maintaining compliance
Skilled in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
Hands-on approach with strong IT literacy
Excellent communication skills with the confidence to tackle quality issues proactively
Salary & Package
Salary: £35,000 – £45,000
