Job Title: Facades Manager
Location: Brighton Site, Southeastern based
Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 per annum

About Us:

We are hiring for an established building and construction company within the facades and building envelope sector, focusing on high-quality rain-screen cladding, curtain walling, and window installations. With a commitment to delivering innovative solutions, we pride ourselves on building strong client relationships and creating sustainable, cutting-edge architectural designs. We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our growing team.

We are seeking an experienced Facades Manager with a strong background in managing facade and external wall insulation (EWI) projects, including rain-screen, curtain walling, and window installations. This role will involve overseeing the successful delivery of projects from start to finish, managing both site-based and office-based activities. You will work closely with project teams, clients, and subcontractors, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities of a Facades Manager:
  • Project Planning & Delivery:
Lead and manage facade and EWI projects, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating resources to ensure timely delivery of projects.

  • Contract Management:
Manage contracts and ensure compliance with all terms and conditions. Prior experience with contracts outside of JCT is essential (e.g., NEC, FIDIC).

  • Site Supervision:
Conduct frequent site visits across the Home Counties to monitor progress, ensure adherence to quality standards, and provide technical guidance as required.

  • Stakeholder Management:
Work closely with clients, architects, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure clear communication and resolve any issues that may arise.

  • Budget & Cost Control:
Manage project budgets, track costs, and ensure projects are delivered within financial parameters.

  • Risk Management:
Identify potential risks, manage mitigation plans, and ensure health & safety standards are consistently met across all sites.

  • Reporting:
Provide regular project updates to senior management, stakeholders, and clients, including progress reports, project time-lines, and financial performance.

  • Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor project teams, ensuring that they are motivated, well-coordinated, and working efficiently.

Job Requirements:
  • Contracts Knowledge:
Proven experience managing contracts other than JCT (NEC, FIDIC, etc.). Familiarity with a variety of contract types and their applications.

  • Leadership Skills:
Strong team management and leadership abilities, with the ability to motivate and guide project teams to success.

  • Technical Expertise:
In-depth knowledge of facade systems, external wall insulation, and building regulations.

  • Communication Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.

  • Site Experience:
Comfortable with frequent site visits and managing projects in multiple locations across the Home Counties.

Benefits:
  • Competitive salary of £50,000 - £70,000 per annum.

  • Car allowance.

  • The opportunity to work with an industry-leading team on prestigious projects.
