Your new company
You will be joining a high-profile, global specialist contractor operating across nuclear energy, defence and critical national infrastructure. This multi-accredited and industry-leading contractor works on some of the most complex and impactful programmes in science, security and sustainability, empowering people to grow, thrive and deliver meaningful change. As part of their continued growth, they are actively seeking a Construction Manager to join their growing Sizewell C team.
This is a full-time permanent position based in the Leiston area.
Your new role
As Construction Manager, you will play a key role in delivering a defined area within a major section of works on the Sizewell C project. You will oversee the full construction lifecycle for your area, ensuring effective planning, coordination and execution of activities across multiple stakeholders and technical teams.
This is a hands-on, impact-driven role where you will:
- Support contract partners in the successful delivery of civil work packages
- Drive safety, quality and compliance, including recommending and implementing temporary mitigation measures
- Monitor site activity, produce accurate daily reports and escalate issues appropriately
- Coordinate with health & safety, logistics, commercial and project controls teams to maintain smooth, integrated delivery
- Attend daily and weekly coordination meetings (including PLOD/PLOW) and ensure key messages are communicated across contractor teams
- Undertake safety and assurance inspections aligned with project HSPI targets
- Maintain clear two-way communication to ensure full visibility of progress and challenges.
What you'll need to succeed
To excel in this role, you will bring:
- Demonstrable experience supporting the delivery of large, complex construction projects
- Sound understanding of CDM regulations and your responsibilities under them
- Strong experience and knowledge of construction sequencing, recovery planning and resource allocation
- Excellent interpersonal, organisational and stakeholder management skills
- SMSTS and full UK driving licence.
