Summary


We are looking for a motivated Dietitian with experience of paediatrics to join the paediatric team within Buckinghamshire Healthcare Trust the post is at Band 7 for 37.5 hours per week to cover maternity leave for 11 months. There may also be an opportunity to take on a permanent paediatric role at band 7 due to a retirement in 2026. The team comprises of 5 other Paediatric Dietitians and strong administrative support. We are a very supportive team, haveregular team meetings and CPD sessions/opportunities and have good links with surrounding Trusts and paediatric teams.

This is an excellent opportunity to consolidate paediatric skills, work with MDT colleagues in a variety of settings and develop clinical and leadership skills.The post holder will cover the neonatal unit, paediatric ward and general out-patient clinics and the opportunity to develop clinical skills in areas such as Home enteral feeding.
• To be an autonomous practitioner and act as a source of clinical expertise in the areas of paediatric and neonatal care.
• To work as part of the multi-disciplinary team providing high quality, evidence based dietetic service to a complex case load of patients on the paediatrics and neonatal unit

· To provide specialised assessment, treatment and support of paediatric inpatients and outpatients, and provide cover for other specialist dietitians on an occasional basis
• As one of the paediatric Dietitians, working closely with the Paediatric Dietetic Team Lead and Nutrition and Dietetic Service Manager to plan, provide and evaluate the paediatric dietetic service.
• To support the clinical and professional development of junior Dietitians, Dietetic support worker and student dietitians.
• To work as part of the paediatric multidisciplinary team training other healthcare professionals and contributing to the development of the service
