Permanent Year 6 Class Teacher & English LeadFull Time | MPS/UPS | Start: 1 September 2026£37,101 - £51,048Hollywell Primary School is seeking to appoint an exceptional Upper Key Stage 2 practitioner to join our team as a Year 6 Class Teacher with responsibility for leading English.This is a key role within our school and is suited to an experienced teacher with a strong track record in UKS2 and a genuine passion for English.The RoleYou will:• Lead a Year 6 class, securing strong academic outcomes through high-quality, ambitious teaching.• Drive standards in English across the school (reading, writing and spelling).• Support curriculum development and staff confidence in English.• Work alongside senior leaders to sustain and improve whole-school outcomes.• Contribute fully to our collaborative, team-based culture.Essential:• Proven experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2.• Knowledge of Key Stage 2 assessments.Desirable:• Experience of leading a core subject.• Knowledge of, or interest in, Voice 21 and high-quality oracy practice.We are looking for someone who:• Is an outstanding classroom practitioner with evidence of sustained impact.• Has high expectations of attainment, behaviour and presentation.• Demonstrates a clear passion for English and subject leadership.• Is enthusiastic, reflective and committed to continuous improvement.• Values teamwork and contributes positively to school life.At Hollywell, collaboration is central to how we work.
