Summary

Morson Edge are recruiting for Aircraft Fitters to join Morson Praxis, supporting a major Aerospace programme in the Filton area.

• Pay: £27.50 per hour
• Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (possible overtime at standard rate)
• Contract: 12-month initial
• Start Date: ASAP
• Location: Filton, Bristol

The Role
As an Aircraft Fitter, you will carry out assembly, installation and modification work on aircraft structures and systems, including fuel systems and landing gear assemblies. You will ensure all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You’ll work as part of a skilled team supporting key production and maintenance activities across a major Aerospace environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Perform structural and mechanical fitting tasks on aircraft components and assemblies
• Carry out installation, integration and testing of aircraft fuel systems, including pipework, tanks, pumps and associated components
• Undertake landing gear assembly, installation, rigging and functional checks
• Complete drilling, riveting, bolting, sealing and allied operations following approved procedures
• Work accurately to engineering drawings, build instructions and technical documentation
• Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and build standards at all times
• Support continuous improvement and workplace organisation initiatives
• Complete all associated documentation in line with company processes

Experience & Qualifications
• Time-served apprenticeship in Aircraft Fitting, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent
• Previous Aerospace production or maintenance experience preferred
• Confident interpreting engineering drawings and build specifications
• Strong awareness of health, safety, and environmental procedures
• Flexible approach with willingness to support additional hours when required
