Summary

About this opportunity
The advertised hourly rate includes a supplement (JWC) to the base grade of the post. JWC supplements are conditional on the physical demands and /or working conditions of the role.

A market supplement equalling time and a third is currently being applied to all night and weekend (Saturday and Sunday) shifts, uplifting the hourly rate in these periods to £17.96. This applies to both contracted hours and to any additional hours worked within the applicable time periods

From 20th April 2026 this will be replaced by a new market supplement of £0.53p per hour which will be payable once you have been in post for 6 months. It will be applied to both your basic salary and to any additional hours, uplifting the hourly rate to £14.00 per hour. There will be the option to take this as a lump sum annually

Location: Our Supported Living Service covers over 6 locations in and around Kendal.

Contract Type: We have both Permanent and Fixed Term opportunities

Available Hours: 0 - 29 hours per week

Our hardworking and friendly teams are looking to recruit more like minded people to make a difference to our Service User’s lives. Enabling them to access the personalised support they need to live independently in their own homes and access their local communities.

Our Teams promote independence, build life skills and support our Service User’s in their interests and hobbies. This could be a trip to the Zoo, an evening of live entertainment, boating in the Lakes, or supporting football teams.

Depending on the Service user, the level of support needed may vary per person. Responsibilities may include supporting with medication, personal care, nutrition, hydration, Community engagement and emotional care.

We will help and support you with fully paid training and development - we are looking for the right people with the right qualities.
