Summary
1. LEADERSHIP Always promote professionalism. Support all colleagues across the MDT to exercise good role modelling and leadership skills to achieve positive morale. Be a nurse leader to junior staff both in clinical and administrative tasks relating to the stroke pathway. Exercise initiative when working autonomously and as part of the MDT. Maintain excellent written documentation for records of patient care. Demonstrate and practice knowledge in current stroke practices/guidance. Promote and adhere to all Trust policies, protocols and guidance. Work in collaboration for departmental objectives and goals. Be aware of NHS initiatives (local and national) to assist change and progress. 2. MANAGEMENT Uphold and maintain effective working relationships across the MDT. Contribute to the management of the specialist service by contributing to SSNAP data collection and input. Awareness and ability to complete and investigate DATIXs Demonstrable commitment to developing positive working relationships, regarding change management and role development issues. To work with the Senior CNS, ASU Ward Manager and ASU Clinical Educator to provide continued staff education and support/appraisals. Be a point of advice and support for the development of junior staff. Always demonstrate compliance with policies and procedures, working to both local and national guidelines.
