Role Overview
Seasonal orchard workers will carry out a variety of crop husbandry tasks in open fields between June and the end of October. Duties include key activities such as pruning, tying, thinning, and harvesting. Workers may also be asked to support general farm duties as required.
Key Responsibilities
• Pruning, tying, thinning, and related orchard tasks
• Harvesting apples and pears according to quality standards
• Supporting general farm and crop husbandry activities
• Working efficiently to meet performance expectations
• Following safe working practices at all times
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
This is a physically demanding role that takes place outdoors in varying and often unpredictable weather conditions. Tasks involve:
• Frequent bending, stretching, and reaching
• Manual handling and heavy lifting
• Sustained physical effort throughout the working day
