We are looking to recruit a Sessional Worker to work across our services based at Barnardo's Swansea. If you enjoy working with children and young people aged 16 to 25 years this could be the opportunity for you.

Our services include:

Bloom - Life coaching and befriending
Supported Lodgings – providing supported accommodation with a host family
Transition and Training Flats Service – independent living experiences and life skills support

What does the Job Role involve?

As a sessional support worker you would be supporting young people across our range of services, this could be on a one to one basis or through group activities which regularly focus on emotional wellbeing and social integration. We are based in Penlan, our location and premises allow us to offer our children and young people a range of support and activities utilising our bespoke group rooms, one to one space, kitchen and garden.

It essential that you have the following:

Experience of direct work with children and young people in a relevant setting
An understanding of issues that impact the wellbeing of children and young people
An understanding of the needs of young people as they transition to independence
Experience of organising and supervising group work activities
The ability to travel to meet the requirements of the post
