Summary

About the role:

Horsham District Council is looking for an Administration Assistant to work as part of the overall admin team supporting all Recycling & Waste including the transport services through the provision of administrative and technical tasks providing general support to team members and managers, assisting in daily departmental needs, supporting and enabling effective and efficient service delivery.

As an Administration Assistant you will work in the recycling and waste department with the Senior Administrator and also spend half of your time working in the transport department focusing on workshop administration. You will assist will managing staff annual leave, managing uniform orders and allocation, managing the workshop ordering process, liaising with suppliers, and organising and note taking internal and external meetings.

About you:

To succeed as an Administration Assistant, you will have experience of working as an administrator in a fast-paced operational environment. You will be able to communicate with a wide range of people, and good written and oral communication skills. You will be a competent IT user and educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
