Summary

MPI have a requirement for a permanent experienced Toolmaker to work in Warwick.

Our Client is recruiting for an experienced Toolmaker, based in Warwick. They are specialists in Aerospace Gas Turbine Engine repair and supply into Aerospace and support Aircraft Operators around the World.

Responsibilities

Welding & Repair : carryout weld , stud extraction on Aircraft engine parts
Manufacturing & Repair: Fabricate, modify, and repair precision tooling, jigs, fixtures, and moulds.
Machine Operation: Set up and operate various machine tools including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and EDM machines.
Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, schematics, and CAD models.
Quality Control: Inspect finished parts and tools using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers) to ensure close tolerances and standards.
Maintenance: Perform routine servicing, regrinding, and preventative maintenance on tooling and equipment.
Problem Solving: Troubleshoot breakdowns, identify faults, and implement solutions to minimize production downtime.
Collaboration: Work with engineering and production teams, providing technical input and supporting new product introduction

Requirements

Apprenticeship or vocational training in Toolmaking, Machining, or a related engineering field.
Experience with various machine tools and precision measurement equipment.
Understanding of health, safety, and environmental standard

Desirable

Relevant experience in the aviation industry or similar environment experience in repair shop environment
Some away from base travel may be required

You will be working as part of our team supporting operations and your work will consist off but not limited to.
Repair of parts for stud removal
Welding of aircraft components to relevant standard
Repair and modification of tooling and stands.
Must be willing to work away from site when required.

The Package

23 days beginning April 01-2026 + bank holidays annual leave
Option of BUPA health package
Working pattern Monday to Friday 07:30 to 16:00
40 hour working week
Salary to be discussed at interview and subject to relevant experience
