We are seeking a skilled Agricultural Engineering Foreman to join our team in Suffolk. This role will be working closely with the engineering manager ensuring smooth operations across our farms. The role will be very hands-on working alongside the engineering team responsible for the servicing, maintenance, and repair of agricultural equipment and buildings.
What you will be doing
• Planning, prioritising jobs in a timely manner, providing feedback to Production Managers, Unit manager and other key department within the business,
• Servicing & Maintenance of equipment across the farm ranging from ploughs and cultivators to feed systems. Fabrication of new equipment in our well-equipped workshop with the use of MIG welders, CNC profile cutters and presses to assist (training provided)
• Repairs & Rebuilds: Assisting with repairs of farm buildings and new fit outs in our piggeries.
• On-Farm Support: Assist the arable, indoor pig and outdoor pig teams on-farm maintenance and emergency callouts.
• Prioritising workload and record keeping of all work/maintenance.
• Working safely and complying with our health, safety, and wellbeing requirements at all times.
What we are Looking for
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, and other online platforms, is essential for reporting, documentation, and coordination.
• Proven experience in agricultural engineering, machinery maintenance, or a similar role.
• Willing to travel between our farms in Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, and Lincolnshire.
• Strong mechanical knowledge, particularly with farm machinery.
• Ability to work independently and manage own workload.
• Respond to on-farm emergency callouts.
• Welding and fabrication skills.
• Full UK driving license.
