Summary
Food Technology Teacher Tidworth
Prospero Teaching is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join a well-established secondary school located in Tidworth. The school is looking for a skilled practitioner who can deliver engaging, practical, and theory-based Food Technology lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
This role is perfect for either an experienced teacher or a motivated ECT looking to join a supportive department and further develop their practice. You will play a key role in teaching essential life skills around nutrition, food preparation, safety, and creativity in the kitchen.
The Role:
Teach Food Preparation and Nutrition to KS3 & KS4
Plan, deliver and assess high-quality, inspiring lessons
Lead practical cooking sessions with a strong focus on safety and hygiene
Support students in developing confidence and independence in Food Tech
Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum improvement and resources
Maintain a positive, well-managed classroom environment
Track and support student progress, providing constructive feedback
Ideal Candidate:
Fully qualified teacher with QTS/QTLS
Strong subject knowledge in Food Technology, Nutrition or Hospitality & Catering
Confident delivering both practical and theoretical lessons
Organised, proactive and committed to high teaching standards
Able to engage learners of all abilities and backgrounds
Passionate about the value of food education and healthy living
Experience teaching KS3-KS4 in a UK secondary school

Salary: £32,916 £51,047 per annum

Experience, Training & Safeguarding:
QTS/QTLS required
Experience teaching Food Technology in secondary schools
Up-to-date safeguarding training (can be provided)
