About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised professional to join the School of Medicine as an MBChB Coordinator on a six-month maternity cover basis.
This is a pivotal role supporting the operational delivery of our MBChB programme. The postholder will coordinate key academic and administrative processes to ensure smooth programme delivery, working closely with academic leads, clinical partners and central professional services teams.
Given the time-limited nature of this post, we are seeking someone who can start immediately and quickly integrate into an established and fast-paced team.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate the day-to-day operational delivery of the MBChB programme
Support teaching timetabling, assessmentprocessesand student progression activities
Act as a key point of contact for academic staff,studentsand clinical placement partners
Maintainaccurateprogramme documentation and records in line with regulatory requirements
Support quality assurance processes, including preparation for internal and external review
Contribute to continuous improvement of administrative systems and workflows
About You
You will demonstrate:
Significant administrative or programme coordination experience, ideally within higher educationor NHS training
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
Confidence working with complex data and digital systems (e.g. SITS, SharePoint, Microsoft 365)
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
The ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement
Experience of working within a regulated environment (e.g. healthcare education) would be advantageous.
