Are you someone who takes pride in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment? We are looking for a dedicated and reliable cleaner to join our school team. You will play a vital role in ensuring our students and staff have a hygienic and sparkling space to learn and work.
The Role
As a key member of our site team, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across designated areas of the school. From daily upkeep to deep-cleaning projects during school holidays, your work will directly impact the well-being of our school community.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Maintenance: Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and dusting classrooms, offices, and communal areas.
Hygiene Standards: Thoroughly cleaning toilet areas, replenishing toiletries (soap, towels), and emptying bins to central collection points.
Surface Care: Cleaning desks, seats, skirting boards, doors, and windows.
Safety & Reporting: Identifying and reporting hazards, defects, or damaged property (like diffused bulbs) to the Line Manager immediately.
Stock Management: Keeping an eye on cleaning supplies and ensuring materials are replenished as needed.
Special Projects: Participating in "deep clean" activities during term breaks, including floor stripping/resealing and upholstery cleaning.
What We’re Looking For
Attention to Detail: You have a "sharp eye" for spots and spillages.
Reliability: You are punctual and committed to a set daily cleaning programme.
Safety Conscious: You are comfortable following Health & Safety procedures and using powered cleaning equipment safely.
Team Player: You are happy to assist with moving furniture or securing the building as requested by the Line Manager.
