Nursery Room Leader – Up to £32,000

As Room Leader, you will take responsibility for leading your room, ensuring high standards of care and education while supporting and guiding your team.
Before You Apply
- This role requires a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (minimum).
- You must have recent experience working in a nursery setting, ideally with room leadership or senior practitioner responsibilities.

What You’ll Need
- Full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years (Level 5 desirable)
- Strong working knowledge of the EYFS framework
- Recent experience within an early years setting
- Experience supporting, mentoring, or leading colleagues
- Confidence managing ratios, safeguarding, and compliance standards
- Clear understanding of safeguarding responsibilities
Desirable
- Paediatric First Aid certification
What You’ll Do
- Lead the day-to-day running of your designated room
- Plan and oversee structured EYFS-aligned activities
- Support, mentor, and guide practitioners within the room
- Act as key person for a group of children, ensuring high-quality observations and assessments
- Monitor learning records and ensure planning reflects individual development needs
- Maintain safeguarding, health and safety, and regulatory compliance standards
- Work closely with management to maintain consistent practice across the nursery
- Build strong relationships with parents, communicating clearly about progress and wellbeing
