A competitive salary and fantastic benefits package are available for the perfect candidate. Standard hours are 07:00 to 16:30 with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break, Monday to Friday. A driver's license is essential.
The role of a Dispatch Co-ordinator is an integral role reporting to the Supply Chain Manager. Previous experience in a dispatch role would be a distinct advantage, although transferable skills will be considered on an individual basis. We would expect candidates to have an interest in supply chain management and production.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
• Ensure that all vehicles are loaded on time and all required checks are completed according to the process.
• Collaborate with management and sales teams to develop and agree upon the dispatch schedule.
• Generate accurate and timely reports on various topics, including KPIs and stock levels, as requested.
• Handle all inquiries related to the dispatch of timber and associated products.
• Undertake any additional tasks as required by the management team.
• Prioritise safety in all activities.
• Attain the necessary certification to operate a forklift truck for loading vehicles.
Skills and Experience:
• A strong team player who can also work independently.
• Takes ownership of tasks with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging and challenging stakeholders at all levels within the business and with external customers.
• Methodical approach to problem-solving.
• Proficient in both spoken and written English.
• Knowledgeable about geography.
