Job Title: Class 2 Driver – Concrete Mixer Trainee (Temp to Perm)Location: CorbyPay Rate: £15.50 per hourHours: Monday to Friday, 06:50 startsContract: Temporary to PermanentThe RoleWe are currently recruiting for a Class 2 Driver to join our team in Corby on a temp-to-perm basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced tipper driver who is looking to take the next step in their career.Successful candidates will immediately begin training as a Concrete Mixer Driver – you will not be working as a tipper driver in this role. Full training is provided from day one.We are specifically seeking drivers with tipper experience due to the highly transferable skills involved, including working in construction environments, operating on uneven/off-road sites, and understanding site safety procedures.This role involves delivering ready-mix concrete to construction and off-road locations, so you must be comfortable working in a hands-on, “mucky” environment.Key ResponsibilitiesOperating a Class 2 concrete mixer vehicle safely and efficientlyDelivering ready-mix concrete to construction and off-road sitesManaging safe discharge of concrete on-siteCarrying out daily vehicle checks and ensuring compliance with regulationsMaintaining high safety standards at all timesProviding professional customer service to site teamsRequirementsValid Class 2 (Category C) licenceIdeally 2 years’ experience driving a Class 2 vehicleCurrent or recent tipper driver experience (preferred due to transferable skills)Aged 25 or over (for insurance purposes)No more than 6 penalty pointsValid CPC and Digital Tachograph cardComfortable working in dirty/off-road site environmentsStrong work ethic and desire for long-term employmentWhat We Offer£15.50 per hourMonday to Friday work – no weekend requirementTemp-to-perm opportunityImmediate start with full Concrete Mixer Driver training providedLong-term career prospects within a growing companyIf you are a Class 2 tipper driver looking to progress into a Concrete Mixer role with full training and a permanent opportunity in Corby, we would love to hear from you.
