This role provides essential support to the day-to-day running of the People and Culture function. You will deliver administrative
support across a wide range of people-related activities and projects, helping to ensure the function operates efficiently and
accurately. Strong timekeeping, organisation, and attention to detail are critical, as you will be managing multiple tasks and
priorities. You will build strong working relationships with colleagues across our UK offices and collaborate closely with our
team in Sri Lanka, so clear and effective communication skills are essential. The role involves handling sensitive employee
information and data, meaning discretion, professionalism, and a high level of integrity are fundamental requirements.

What's your mission?




As a People & Culture (HR) Apprentice, you will gain a full understanding of the ‘people' side of the business. Reporting to the
People & Culture Manager, you will spend time learning how colleagues are recruited, trained and supported in their employee
journey. You will work toward a recognised L3 or L5 HR qualification (20% of your working hours will be dedicated to your
studies), which will, alongside your practical work experience, will help you put your learning into practice. This
apprenticeship duration is approximately 18 months - 2 years. This position requires zero experience, and we are happy to
consider all kinds of applicants whether you're a school leaver or looking for a fresh start to develop a new career path. What
is vital is your passion for people, and an enthusiasm to support the business through the next stages of its development.

You will be responsible for supporting the People & Culture Manager in all administration and support tasks and will support our
teams in 5 offices across the UK and our team in Sri Lanka. I can guarantee that no one day will be the same, some of the
activities you will be involved in are outlined below:

* Supporting with the preparation of and maintaining new hire offers.
* Updating employee changes in the HR Database (including new hires, contract changes, compensation changes, personal detail
changes, etc).
* Assisting with the collation of data for monthly board reports as needed.
* Completing Employment verifications such as new starter reference checking and DBS checks.
* Supporting the Learning & Development activities across the organisation.
* Conducting compliance audits such as GDPR, Right to Work, Health & Safety checks.
* Creating and managing relationships with colleges, universities and learning and development bodies to encourage a talent
pipeline.
* Managing the recruitment process, from placing an advert and screening candidates through to organising interviews and
supporting line managers with candidate information.
* Dealing with work experience requests.
* Organising People related activities such as Christmas events, Staff Social Events.
* Coordinating training sessions.
* Assist with collating employee feedback.
* Supporting the People & Culture Manager with the development of employer brand strategies and initiatives.




What do you need?

To apply for this apprenticeship, you will need to have the following characteristics:

* A genuine interest in developing a career in HR and / or L&D
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* The ability to act in a confidential and sensitive manner
* An interest in working with people
* The ability to work as part of a team
* The ability to work accurately, with good attention to detail




Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

* Minimum of 5 GCSE’s at grade A* - C including English and Maths
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
* Curious, motivated with ability to learn quickly and a desire to succeed
* Task Orientated with ability to take ownership of required tasks and actions
* Ability to work as part of a team and using multiple communication methods
* Good administration skills with the ability to work accurately and with attention to detail
* Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
* Desire to learn analytical approaches and problem solving
* Ability to work with, exercise and maintain sensitivity and confidentiality
* Strong work ethic and professionalism
