We are recruiting for an Electrical Trainer & Assessor to join a busy training centre in Northolt. This is a full-time, Monday to Friday position where you will deliver engaging technical training and assessments across a range of electrical qualifications. You will support learners throughout their programme, maintain strong assessment standards and help drive timely completions through structured guidance and clear feedback.
Key Responsibilities
We are recruiting for an Electrical Trainer & Assessor to join a busy training centre in Northolt. This is a full-time, Monday to Friday position where you will deliver engaging technical training and assessments across a range of electrical qualifications. You will support learners throughout their programme, maintain strong assessment standards and help drive timely completions through structured guidance and clear feedback.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality training and assessment within your areas of competence as an Electrical Trainer & Assessor.
Support learners throughout their course, monitor progress and liaise with employers and colleagues to drive timely completions.
Conduct assessments and examinations in line with awarding organisation requirements, mark promptly and provide clear feedback.
Work closely with the Centre Manager on technical resources, course structure, material development and continuous improvement.
Coordinate with customer services on candidate paperwork and feedback and raise any non-technical issues early.
Liaise with scheduling to resolve timetable issues quickly and keep delivery running smoothly.
Maintain candidate assessment paperwork accurately, securely and confidentially.
Invigilate examinations and support oral questioning where required.
Interview prospective learners and represent the training centre and its course offering professionally.
Keep training and assessment areas prepared, tidy, safe and secure at all times.
Attend team meetings, complete actions and uphold service standards consistently.
Continue developing technical knowledge to expand the scopes you can deliver.
Complete internal verification activities once the relevant award has been achieved.
Experience & Skills Required
Level 3 Electro-technical Certificate or equivalent industry recognised qualification.
City and Guilds 2382 Wiring Regulations.
Inspection and Testing qualifications are beneficial.
City and Guilds 2377 Portable Appliance Testing is beneficial.
Teaching award (PTLLS or AET) is advantageous.
Assessor awards (D32 or A1 or TAQA) are advantageous.
IQA award (D34 or V1 or IQA) is advantageous.
Confident delivering to groups with an engaging training style and clear communication.
Approachable and supportive with a professional but personable manner.
Organised with strong attention to detail for paperwork and compliance.
