Job Title: Learning Centre Facilitator

Hours: 37 Hours/Permanent

Status: Term Time Only/38 Weeks

Salary: £19,451 - £23,180 per annum (Salary Points HS020 - HS026)

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and committed individual to join our Learning Centre team and support the delivery of high quality, effective and efficient library and learning services for both HE and FE students and staff.

As a Learning Centre Facilitator, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the College. This includes delivering information skills sessions on topics such as finding and evaluating information, understanding disinformation and developing research skills. These sessions may be delivered to full classes, small groups or individual students
You will also provide day to day support at our busy help desk, assisting students with a wide range of enquiries. Strong communication skills and confidence with basic IT are essential. In addition, you will support designated curriculum area such as Higher Education and work closely with tutors to enhance the student experience.
An interest in reading for pleasure is essential. Experience in delivering or supporting literacy initiatives such as themed displays or social media engagement (e.g., TikTok) would be an advantage. An interest in digital technologies and their application in teaching and learning is also highly desirable, as is experience in a busy, customer facing library or learning centre environment.
