Summary
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Supported Employment Team as a Work Placement Officer. In this role, you will play a key part in developing meaningful employment opportunities and supporting people with disabilities and/or health conditions and those from disadvantaged groups to secure paid work. You will also provide ongoing, in-work guidance to help individuals maintain and progress in their roles.

About the Role:
Develop strong and effective rapport with participants to support engagement and motivation throughout their employment journey.
Manage a caseload of participants, including arranging regular appointments, creating and reviewing SMART action plans, and delivering in‑work coaching and support.
Work proactively to meet all programme targets and outcomes as defined by internal and external requirements including proactive employer engagement.
Complete all documentation, records, and administrative tasks accurately and within required timescales.
Use a computerised records systems effectively to maintain high‑quality, up‑to‑date participant records.
Participate actively in programme Fidelity Audits, contributing to continuous quality improvement and adherence to IPS/SEQF standards.
Apply knowledge of Equality & Diversity legislation to practice, ensuring appropriate reasonable adjustments, job carving, and inclusive approaches are implemented.

You are passionate about empowering people with disabilities, health conditions and those from disadvantaged backgrounds to achieve their goals and move closer to meaningful, paid work. You understand the challenges they may face and bring a compassionate, person‑centred approach to helping individuals build confidence, develop skills, and access the right opportunities.
A confident and empathetic communicator, you can engage with people from all backgrounds and tailor your support to their needs. You have hands‑on experience of Supported Employment or working with people with disabilities, and you use this insight to provide high‑quality, strengths‑based guidance.
Highly organised and detail‑focused, you can manage a varied caseload while maintaining accurate records and a professional, proactive approach. Above all, you’re someone who builds positive, trusting relationships — with the people you support, employers, partner organisations, and colleagues at every level.
