Summary
Job title: Personal Assistant (PA)
Reporting to: The Employer
Location: Alvechurch, Birmingham B48
Job purpose:
To assist with a variety of tasks which will enable the employer who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.
About the employer:
Our client is a 62-year-old female living in the Alvechurch who is looking to recruit a Personal Assistant to provide support for 31 hours per week with all aspects of daily living and community support.
Main duties:
Social duties:
Keep in touch and socialise with family and friends
Attend medical appointments when required
Support with weekly grocery shopping
Support to access the local community
Personal care: Support with all personal care tasks including support with medication.
Domestic duties: support with weekly grocery shopping.
These duties may vary from day-to-day.
Type of person that you/they are looking for:
Values: Someone that is honest, reliable, punctual, non-judgemental, ability to build good relationships based on trust and respect, flexible, adaptable, easy going, able to work alone, positive, willingness to travel and understands equality and diversity.
Specific requirements: Someone with previous care & support experience.
Other: Due to the nature of this role including personal care the potential employer will be considering female applicants only.
Hours of work: 31 hours per week –
4 x 1-hour calls 7 days a week + 3 hours per week community support
Rate of pay: £12.50 per hour
Skills, qualifications, and experience
Essential:
Full UK driving licence
Car and appropriate insurance
Previous care & support experience
Confidentiality
Good at building relationships
Successful applicants will require DBS checks & Employment References.
This role is funded by the Local Authority and is paid 4 weekly.
