Hours per week:
30 hours a week. Aiming for 6 hours a day Monday to Friday but with some flexibility. May occasionally include weekends. Part time hours or a job share will be considered.

Supporting an autistic 15 year girl who has recently come home after spending a very long time in hospital recovering from an eating disorder. She is a highly intelligent, kind, caring, creative and funny young person and a pleasure to support. She has come home to live with her close and supportive family and pet cat.
The role would include offering companionship, emotional support and assistance with engagement in therapeutic activities, education, and daily tasks.

Duties include:
- Eating and drinking assistance
- Other relevant duties as required
- Housekeeping
- Cooking
- Transportation
- Companionship
- Engage in therapeutic activities such as art, craft and cookery
- Engage in fun activities and games
- Offer support when she is accessing her online education
- Prompt (but not engage in) self care
- Support engagement in extra-curricular activities such as piano playing, singing and dance
- Take the young person out in the local area to develop functional skills and work on exposure to social settings
- Offer emotional and therapeutic support and a trusted safe space to talk
- Provide respite care for parents which may include meal support for a young person with a diagnosis of anorexia and occasional light housework
- Liaise with multidisciplinary team to support decision making around young person
