Summary
Location: Kingston Upon Thames - KT1 2BA
Hours: 30 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday shifts between 07:00-16:00 (must be flexible to work during these times)
Rate Of Pay: £13.99 Per Hour + Sodexo rewards and benefits.
Role Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join our brand-new flagship site in Kingston as a Kitchen Porter, playing a vital role in supporting a premium 5-star catering operation.
As a key member of the kitchen team, you will ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, organisation, and food safety are maintained at all times. Your contribution will directly support the smooth running of the kitchen, enabling the team to deliver exceptional food and hospitality services within a high-profile corporate environment.
Key Accountabilities
- Carry out cleaning duties in line with the cleaning schedule or as directed by the Supervisor or Head Chef.
- Ensure all kitchen areas, stores, and surrounding spaces are cleaned down and prepared for the next day.
- Maintain full compliance with Food Safety procedures and due diligence requirements.
- Receive and correctly store deliveries, ensuring HACCP controls are followed at all required points.
- Keep the Main Kitchen, stores, and surrounding areas clean, tidy, and free from obstructions.
- Follow correct stock rotation procedures.
- Ensure all activities meet required Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
- Manage catering waste collection and disposal in line with site procedures.
- Wash, sanitise, and correctly stack all catering equipment and customer-use crockery.
Skills & Knowledge
- Previous experience in a similar kitchen or catering environment preferred.
- Understanding of basic Food Safety and Health & Safety requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work as part of a team.
- Professional attitude with a willingness to support the wider catering team.
