DUE TO THE NATURE OF THIS RECRUITMENT CONSULTANCY, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO REPRESENT INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE EX MILITARY.
My client is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, maintain and support specialist medical equipment across the UK and overseas. This role is ideally suited to former Royal Signals personnel, RAF engineers, Royal Navy weapons/electronics engineers, or REME technicians looking to transition into a high-specification, safety-critical engineering environment.

The Role
You will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing and fault diagnosis of specialist medical systems used in clinical environments.
This is a front-line technical role customer-facing, autonomous, and requiring the highest professional standards.
You will represent the company on-site, often working independently, applying structured fault-finding skills and disciplined engineering practice developed through military service as well as full training by the client on their equipment

What You’ll Bring
Essential:
- Level 3 engineering qualification (or equivalent military trade qualification)
- Strong electronics / communications systems background
- Proven fault-finding and diagnostic ability
- Experience working in structured, procedural environments
- Ability to operate independently and manage your own workload
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel across the UK and internationally, as there will be about 40% travel in this role.
Highly Desirable:
- Experience with radiation-based or regulated equipment
- Experience in safety-critical environments

You will need these Key Attributes
