Summary

English Teacher – Flexible short-term and long-term opportunities available immediately
These flexible opportunities are ideal for teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different secondary school settings. You will be supporting pupils in Dereham and the surrounding areas, delivering engaging English lessons across a range of classes and key stages.Duties as English Teacher:
  • Deliver engaging English lessons using provided plans
  • Teach key areas including literature, language, reading, writing, and comprehension
  • Support students in developing strong communication and analytical skills
  • Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
  • Adapt teaching strategies to support learners with different abilities
  • Assess and record pupil progress when required
  • Collaborate with colleagues during longer‑term placements
  • Contribute to the wider learning environment
Ideal English Teacher:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong subject knowledge in English language and literature
  • Confident behaviour and classroom management skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students across varying age groups
  • Adaptable across different school environments
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
