About the role
Working as part of a team of four, you will have the autonomy to ensure the effective running of the Effluent Plant, maintaining the legislative and site compliance of the Plant, ensuring the business will not be fined or potential closed due to non-conformance. Closely supported by the Effluent Plant Manager, you will have the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of both the mechanics and science behind the role. There is the long-term opportunity to progress into an Engineer based on the main site through our robust training programme. This is not just a job; it is the gateway into a career for life.

About the team
Whilst the immediate team you will be working with is small, you will be part of the wider, highly skilled Engineering team. There is a reason the average length of service in the department is over 9.5 years!
About You
Whilst previous experience in a similar role would be beneficial, this is not a requirement of the role as all training will be provided. You will need to:
- Be able to communicate with stakeholders at all levels to be able to escalate any issues
- Have a good level of written English with the ability to accurately record data
- Level 1 or 2 courses in subjects such as Plumbing, Mechanical or Automative Engineering would be advantageous
- Basic hands-on mechanical skills such as working with pumps, unblocking pipes would also be advantageous
