Summary


Outpatients/RDAC are seeking an enthusiastic Deputy Administration Manager to support the efficient running of our departments at the Sutton site.

This role is essential to ensuring the smooth operation of our main outpatient clinics. You will work in a fast-paced environment, providing a welcoming reception service for patients and their relatives, as well as preparing medical records for consultants’ clinics.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will need excellent interpersonal, verbal communication, and organisational skills. Strong keyboard and IT skills are essential, and previous hospital experience is desirable.

The Team Lead is a member of the Outpatient Administrative Team, covering the clinics, preparation and reception areas. They will adopt a professional and caring attitude with a polite and courteous manner in
all aspects of communication.

The post holder will support the Manager whilst providing a supervisory role to the OPD Administration Officers.

To ensure that the reception desks within the Outpatient Departments are adequately covered at all times and telephone calls are handled in a professional manner.

To check that the patient’s arrival and departure times are entered accurately on EPIC.

To ensure that all patient appointments are booked accurately and to liaise with clinics regarding overbookings to minimise patient waiting times.
