- Develop and implement innovative literacy strategies to support the school's overall literacy improvement plan
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and effective approach to literacy across the curriculum
- Analyse student data to identify areas for improvement and implement targeted interventions
- Provide ongoing training and support to teaching staff, sharing best practices and the latest educational research
- Lead the literacy initiative within the school, working closely with the senior leadership team to set and achieve ambitious goals
- Contribute to the wider school community through participation in extracurricular activities and events
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Degree in English or a related subject
- Proven track record of successful English teaching experience, preferably in a leadership role
- Excellent knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues
